This week, I've tackled the migration of the ingress-nginx controller to haproxy-ingress. Maintenance of the nginx controller will end soon and I've worked with HAProxy before so this was an obvious choice.
Migration was pretty straight forward. After changing the ingress class, I only had to touch up some ingress annotation and everything just worked. This also gave me the chance to set up iocaine in a way that doesn't require sidecar containers on every service. I'll write about this at some point to share the interesting things I ran into.
